Gil Moore has played guitar for over forty years. In that time, he performed in bands, and was featured on two CDs, as well as documentaries for WILL-TV. Moore studied with guitar guru, Trefan Owen, and local legend, Bert Carlson. He has recorded solo jazz guitar works with, producer, Marc Boon, and was the winner of the Illinois State Championship for Flatpicking Guitar and Mandolin. As an instructor, Gil does everything possible to help his students achieve their goals and believes guitar lessons should be a time of stress-free learning. His passion for teaching inspired him to open Hip Cat Music School in downtown Bloomington, Illinois. Music lessons for all orchestra and band instruments are available, as well as piano, voice, drums, guitar, bass guitar and ukulele.
